Vancouver is the largest city in BC, Canada and perhaps, the most beautiful. With the majestic North Shore mountains to the north, their peaks visible from the entire lower mainland: you can never get lost - the mountains are always north.
One of the busiest sea ports on the west coat, Vancouver Port is usually teaming with cruise ships, pleasure yachts, and ocean tankers flying flags from all over the world. Up above are the small commuter sea planes and helicopters that leave Waterfront Harbor for Victoria, Seattle, and many BC towns.
A large metropolis, Vancouver is home to multi-ethnic communities and the requisite festivals, restaurants, cultural events and shopping that can only be associated with vibrant communities. Home of the Vancouver Indy, Vancouver Canucks, Vancouver Marathon and the annual dragon boat races, Vancouver also offers water sports, skiing, fishing, hiking and biking. For the most adventurous and sporty, all can be easily enjoyed on the same day.
Whether you are young, or just young at heart, Vancouver nightlife has something to offer. From the club scene to fine dining and theater, or even moonlit walks along the seawall, you will not be disappointed if you put Vancouver on your personal travel map. It is truly a destination city.
